I got caught stealing at the Coles in Canberra centre by two under cover securities, they didn’t ask for my ID or make me sign anything they just told me to pay for my items which I did (approx 30 dollars). After I left I saw them login into the self checkout I used. I was wondering can they track me down where I live etc as I used my debit card at the self checkout and what will happen now? I’ve done this a few times there so I’m worried it’ll show a history of me there. It was a stupid mistake which I won’t repeat anymore. I’m a uni student and I am really worried with what will happen as they probably have me on CCT. I would really love some advice, I’m so scared.

Lesson learned. But you should be confident that the police wont get involved.... But next time? well - don't let there be a next time.
