My partner and I have been married for 3 years now, but he doesn't have his visa or Australian citizenship.

Can anyone help me out, please?

Does he live in Australia?
What visa is he on?
Is he lawfully in the country (ie is his visa valid?)

Understand that marrying an Australian does not automatically create a right to stay in Australia.
Nor does marrying an Australian automatically create a pathway to citizenship.
Further, citizenship is something that he has to apply for, it does not come automatically.

Dear Pandit,

If your husband is in Au without a visa, there are some difficulties in applying for a partner visa for him.
