Hi,
A friends bike was recently impounded under the QLD hooning laws for a week (was meant to be 90 days but was granted early release). He went to collect his motorbike to find extensive damage on the right-hand side from where it had obviously been dropped.
The impound lot angrily denied that anyone had dropped it and say it was damaged like that when they got it. My friend is obviously outraged but is unsure of how to proceed. His most recent photo of the bike (which proves it was undamaged prior) was one week before the impounding.
Does he have a shot at being reimbursed under Traffic Law, and if so, how should he go about it?
Thanks
