When applying for AVO, what is the process, the evidence needed in the application and by the court? And how long will it take to be served on the person?

I'm doing it at the police station. Unfortunately, children are involved.

If it is a family matter, the police will look after you. They will be wary if they think it is a back door way of doing family law.

Lot of that happens at this time of year.

If you are afraid let them know how afraid you are and what your fears are. If there was violence, let them know.

In order to apply for an AVO - go to the local magistrates court and apply for one. You will attend an initial hearing an should then be granted one. You will then have a hearing set where the person who had an AVO taken against them can ask to have it reversed and you will need to provide evidence on why it should still be continued.
