I am planning to buy an e-bike in Queensland. What age do you have to be to ride the bike on your own legally and can you own a e-bike that has motor capacity over 250Watts if it is padel assisted? Are there any important rules that should be considering before I buy it online?

In Queensland, you must be at least 16 to ride an e-bike over 200W unsupervised. Pedelec e-bikes up to 250W are allowed if they comply with Australian standards. Ensure it meets road rules, including speed limits and helmet requirements.
