As what I read, this is under of commonwealth offences. Check this at Australian Federal and Commonwealth Offences | Cridland & Hua Lawyers . Any harassments using internet can be a crime.
It is if the cursing "menaces, harasses or causes offence". That's what causes the Commonwealth offence. That's because an email is a "carriage service" for the purpose of the Commonwealth criminal code.
A seriously harassing email could make out the Queensland charge of Unlawful stalking, but it would usually need to be a lot of email, or one very bad email. One swear word in one email won't be enough.
