WA Court Appearance - Will I Have Trouble Going on Overseas Holiday?

Hi there ,

I have a scheduled court appearance on the 6th August for a DUI charge. I had a overseas holiday to Bali booked for this weekend for a few days and was wondering if I will have any trouble, etc. leaving the country?

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Elliot,

Whatever you do, do not miss your court appearance. I'm assuming you were not arrested and released on bail. If so, there will likely be a condition that you not leave the country before your court appearance. However, a DUI charge is fairly minor and will unlikely involve arrest, so you can leave the country before your appearance.

Just make sure you get back in time for your court appearance.
