My home was burglarised, money phone and car stolen. The car was in a police chase and crashed into a pole after police deployed spikes to stop the thief. Cash, pills and a gun was found in the car. The police took perpetrator into custody and he is unable to pay for damage to my Car. The car is a 2year old Mazda3 SP25 and sustained severe damage. I had paid for comprehensive insurance on line and had pressed the wrong button. The insurance company acknowledged I had the wrong insurance and was in the process refunding the money to purchase the correct insurance when the incident happened.. The insurance company are saying they will not honour the insurance. What do I do?. Is there compensation for damage caused by theft and a police chase?
