I am Hernan Rojas and I have the same issue you have had 3 years ago.
I bought a car privately (I saw the car in Facebook Marketplace).
I am writing you because I would like get your feedback about how was your process and if you can got a refund or repair coast.
I reported it the RWC in QLD and they are asking me about fill the complaint from and I am guessing they will inspect the car.
How was your experience? Did you get something or it it a waste of time?
I read if I wanna recovery my money I have to to with a court and lawyer can be really expensive.
I went to see the car and it looks good but I saw before the car has cracked the windscreen but the guy told me I don't have to be worried about it because the car has passed the RWC.
I trust him but then when I started to read the car should not get passed the RWC. I WAS SCAMMED
I make a mechanical Inspection in another place that they make RWX and the car has 7 RWC issue.
- Windscreen cracked
- Hazard light not working
- -Right front strut leaking
- -Left rear bump stop worn
- -Engine Light is on
- -Dash cluster screen does not work – Can’t see odometer (Total kms)
- -Breather hose from blow off valve has been blocked off)
So, if the RWC were legitimate the car would fail with the following:
- Lamps (lights) and Electrical Components
- Windscreen and Glazing (Windows)
- Steering and Suspension
- Engine, Driveline and Emissions
