have only had 2 sexual partners in my life. One was a one night stand about 20 years ago and protection was used. The other was my wife of 17 years. We rarely used protection but I know she did not have herpes as I was her only sexual partner she'd ever had.

4 weeks ago my friends decided to pay a high class escort for me to get me out of a funk I'd been in. We used protection of course but bam, 10 days later I get a break out and swab revealed she gave me HSV2.
Now even if I cannot prove she gave it to me, which legally I can't as defense would argue I could've had it for years and not known blah blah, and even if that is the case can I have her arrested anyway just for carrying out sex work while she knowingly has an STD? (Which in Victoria Australia is illegal). Escorting is legal but knowing you have an STD And continuing work is not. I'm so angry. From what I have googled court can order access to her medical files which will show if shes ever been to the doctors with any STD concerns and if shes been diagnosed. If she has then I have full proof she conducted sex work knowing she had an STD so while i myself cannot sue her I can still get her into a lot of ****

You can report it to police, they may want you to make a statement ... From that point it's up to them if they decide to make a charge & take it further

thank you.
my concern is I don't have access to her real name. All I have for her is a contact number and her escorting profile. Is this enough for them to work with?

Dunno ..... If it's all you got then that's all you've got.... You can also report it to Consumer affairs Vic >>>> Sexual health of sex workers ...... May have more luck there, probably worth reporting it to both actually ..... may not go anywhere with cops if you just report it to counter staff at a local station ..

Thanks further research though shows it’s only illegal if she had active lesions at the time from what I saw she didn’t. So I guess I wouldn’t have a leg to stand on after all. BF711661-74E5-4C88-905B-14A8C8618F09.png

That is not my field, but one point I think is that hard to prove that it was that person, how can you identify or prove that it was that person, how can you prove that you were not active with other person before or after that person. I think this is the point that will stand in your way.

Did you have a blood test that proved that you did not have HSV2 before? And if that blood test becomes positive later on, then it is more convincing, but even then the blood tests are not very good.
Otherwise HSV 2 is very common (1 in 8), so you probably had it before, but only got an outbreak after the stress of a new hookup and the funk/depression that you had?

Buyer's remorse hey. I'm guessing everyone that ever caught an STD from a working girl is going to claim that it was the only time they've had extramarital sex.
I'd certainly report it to the relevant health authority to protect others. That & maybe find some new friends. Obviously hasn't improved your mood.
Hope you've disclosed it to your partner.

Luckily I don’t have a partner so that’s a relief. I called SWOP sex workers outreach and they said it’s not illegal to operate as a sex worker with herpes since around 1 in 5 people have it. It’s only illegal if the sex worker is going through an active outbreak and there’s visible sores / blisters. She asked me if I noticed this and I told her no. So she said I can try and report her but wouldn’t get very far as she didn’t do anything illegal. So that’s that.
