We are wondering if we have a case for compensation from Council.

On our property file we found the Building inspector conducted a mandatory critical stage building inspection and approved "Trench and Steel" as compliant with the Engineer's Structural Design when, in fact, it was not. Further, construction was also approved and in 2008 a Final Occupancy certificate was issued by Council.

What is the consequence of it being non-compliant? What damage have you suffered?
