This is the email sent to me:
"As discussed, kindly attend to full payment of the total amount owing on all Lots, being $27,403.70 by 7 December 2021 and provide our office with a remittance once paid.

Please note that if full payment of the above amount is not paid to the Body Corporate by the date specified, we will be seeking instructions from our client to commence legal proceedings against you to recover the money owed (without further notice)."

I cannot pay till the 20th of December 2021 is there any way to delay the court proceedings. As they would not seem to budge even though I can pay on the December 20th?

i will be able to pay as i am in the process of selling my house.

Write to them, explain the situation, give some proof to back up the settlement date (such as a letter for your solicitors for the sale). They’re going to have to wait 28 days if they sue you anyway.

Did I do a mistake I wrote an email to them my self before contacting my lawyer asking for an extension. Do I still get the 28 days?? They contacted me on 24 th nov 2021 and I contacted them on same day by email asking for an extension.??

28 days is the period from when they serve you until they can apply for a default judgement/decision if you don’t defend it.
