Under Australian Law, can several people be a legal entity? Can non-legal entity enter into a contract?

Is this what we call a "homework question"?
If not, what is the back story to your question?

Yes. No.

Smells like a homework question even if is a bit late in the trimester for this type of question.

Well, there's partnership, and there's unincorporated associations.

What exactly do you mean by "non-legal entity"? The term defies logic.

If there is a group of you who want to enter into a contract with someone else as a group, but you do not form a legal entity together which can be named as the contracting party - you can all simply contract as individuals under the same contract with the other party. Or is there some reason you want an entity to be the contracting party?

...or you could skip the riddles and just ask us the question you actually want answered...?
