Under Australian Law, can several people be a legal entity? Can non-legal entity enter into a contract?

What exactly do you mean by "non-legal entity"? The term defies logic.

If there is a group of you who want to enter into a contract with someone else as a group, but you do not form a legal entity together which can be named as the contracting party - you can all simply contract as individuals under the same contract with the other party. Or is there some reason you want an entity to be the contracting party?
