Hi, I just wanted to get some more information before I proceed.

About two years ago, I was forced into getting married to my husband. I left him over a year ago, we had a celebrant conduct the ceremony. The ceremony was make-believe.

Can my husband stay in Australia?

My question is, would I still be able to proceed and get an annulment or would it be too late to get an annulment? Instead, will I need to get a divorce?

What do you mean 'the ceremony was make believe'? Is there a marriage certificate registered at the Office of Births, Deaths and Marriages?

I would wager that the court would not make a decree of nullity because it doesn't sound like you have been forced to marry in the way the court means it. Getting a divorce, however, is the path with a 100% success rate.
