Hi, I have had a workplace complaint made against myself in regards to a comment made by a complainant who was not present when the remark was made and heard the remark Subsequently by hearsay.
Can complaints be made in the third person based on hearsay?

Yes. Your place of employment is not a court.

You should however be given the right to respond, and they need to be careful about how reliable the hearsay may be and whether it has the correct context.
