Hi,
I want to know if I am working with a company full time, can I do the following under employment law:

a. Register my photography business legally ?
b. Earn from the photography business by working on the weekends ? (i.e. without disturbing the time of my primary job?)
c. Do I have to inform my company that I am doing this business?

Thanks.

Hi Ahmad,

What is the nature of your primary job? Is it in photography or something completely unrelated. In circumstances where you are potentially taking the business of your employer or competing for the same work, you may require their permission. Read your employment contract because there may also be something there that states that you are not allowed to work for another photography business or your own photography business while you are employed by them. I don't know of any employment laws that would prevent you from doing this though.
