I wanna know how a father has to pay so much child support when the ex has 3 jobs and has a yearly income of only $13,000.

She also takes in kids just so she can get their money as well.

What can be done about this please?

It’s way too complicated to answer based on only a little information. Child support is calculated on a number of factors by using a formula. The agency relies on some information from government records and some information from the parties. They don’t dig too deep unless someone raises an issue. If you think someone is not being truthful about their circumstances, the paying parent should ask CSA for a reassessment.

Well the child support is calculated based on your tax return reported income. So if one party is reporting only $13000.00 income and your income is presumably much higher, then that will cause you to have to pay more child support.

What can be done is, if you suspect the reported income is false, then report it to the tax department.... report any 'cash' income you may be aware they are getting as well - 'takes in kids'

Or first of all, before reporting, you can give your ex a chance to put in a correction to the tax department themselves.
