Hello,

If perjury is committed by a local government and prosecutor in magistrates court, who investigates and prosecutes this under Criminal Law? Does it need to be reported to the police or the attorney general?

Thanks

The prosecutor generally works alongside police in collecting evidence, etc. I'm sure the attorney general would become aware of something like this, however, I don't know of any specific provision requiring that the AG be informed of such an event.
