Looking at the forum on this subject, there are a few people in my same predicament.
I have just purchased a car from a dealership in Cairns over the phone and had it transported to Mackay where I picked it up. On my way home with it, it developed a bad rattle in the rear suspension which turned out to be a strut going through the tub floor. I contacted the dealer who asked me to take it to my local mechanic and get it looked at. The mechanic has recommended that it go to a specialist repairer for a full inspection which is time and money. The dealer is now trying to get me to claim it on insurance instead of doing it on warranty. I have spoken to my insurance people who won’t process a claim as there has not been an incident. What is the best way to push back on the dealer?
