I have been booked in a shopping centre car park under the NSW Local Government act, section 650- 1 & 4- a.
The law states if signs are posted by council and the car park is marked by council it is an offence to park outside of marked bays.
There are no council signs at this car park and it is operated by the ownest Westfield., not by the council.
Can the police legally book me?
