No, not in Queensland. Depending on what reading and other criminal history. I had 3 in five years - the third time I was caught, I was still unlicensed for drink driving from the second time. The duty solicitor wouldn't speak for me, and said I would do 3 months of jail ...I spoke for myself and managed to get away with 5 years loss of licence with an appeal after 2 years with a $2500 fine ...
