QLD Possible to Get Speeding Fines Reduced?

I got speeding fines about 5 months ago, which I have not paid, because I wasn't aware that I had been booked for the first 2 months. I've been in and out of home, due to family troubles. The fine started at $162 and is now exceeding $500.

I was wondering If it were possible to get it reduced to the original, due to family situation. My mum has a DVO against my dad and I wasn't receiving the fines until I moved back in and haven't been able to pay for them while I was finishing high school etc.

I'm just wondering if getting it reduced is possible, how to go about it etc.

Hi Jack,

You could try. If you contact the Traffic Camera Office on 1300 360 610 you might be able to reason with them, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The reason being that you could have set up a payment plan. But on a positive note you still can set up a payment plan.
