Hi, this might be long but need help....

Pulled over in 2015, a drug swab done on the driver which took a half an hour and the cop walked back to the cop car with it. The other cop searched the car and found drugs. The other cop comes back to inform the partner that the swab was positive.

Fast forward to the cop statements...The cops say onboard comp alerted them at 09:35am. Detectives say they were notified at 09:00 (D's knew 35 mins before, how's that work?). D's pull up on a dead end street and saying they were waiting for the verbal approval to search the house.

The disclosure paperwork says approval had been given 50 mins prior ( meanwhile the house was being burgled ). Why not pull up in front of house?

Evidence bag not SOPs. No pictures of anything in car, only a backpack laying on the road. The lawyer informs 16 months later, in 2017, to plead guilty. The plea was then sent to DPP. The so-called plea is just a letter stating the driver was guilty and will be done at the next court appearance. Nothing at all about anything in disclosure. Isn't a plea a bit of bargaining?

Do all cops at the original stop have to do statements? Disclosure has so many errors and things that just don't add up. Really need help and a lawyer that will look into it. It has already cost thousands for something that if I was on a jury, wouldn't be prepared to convict someone based on the discrepancies in the disclosure.

Hi Helen,

You will find some very good Lawyers through the Lawtap link. It sounds like you have been let down so far by your Lawyer. I'm not sure what strength the court will put on incorrect timings and some of the points about detectives knowing before they should have could be down to other information obtained. But you might have enough to effect their case against the accused.

Good luck.
