NSW NSW Lawyer in Queensland Compensation Claim?

Can a NSW lawyer represent a person in a compensation claim if the accident happen in Queensland?

From my understanding, my other lawyer colleagues say that this is possible. The Law Society will check the lawyer for "reference of qualification" (may not be the exact term) but basically as long as the lawyer is competent in the area of law, it may be fine.

To be fair, my information is QLD to NSW but I would imagine it works both ways. I can't think of a reason why it would be one sided.

Yes.
Have a look at section 44 of the Legal Profession Act 2007 (Qld).

There are a few ifs and buts attached, which vary depending on the kind of work being done,
but in short and simple - yes.
