Hi, I purchased a new car last December. I told the dealer I required cruise control and they confirmed it was standard. It's also written as standard on the Holden website and a brochure I was given. Unfortunately I lost the brochure.

The car was delivered while I was overseas and when I returned I found it did not have cruise control. It was built in April and cruise control is standard on July+ builds.

The dealer said it's my problem. Holdens said they can't do anything. Consumer affairs said they can't do anything. My last resort is to go to mediation however I have no solid proof of what was said.

Is there any point in trying or will they also not be able to help as I was there alone and have no proof?
