4 years ago a young friend took out a loan to fund his partner's business. She registered the business in her name. They had a verbal agreement that she would pay the loan back. They split up 2 years later & even after repeated requests is refusing to pay him back. He now has another partner & baby & is under huge financial stress. They cannot afford a solicitor or lawyer but she can, so they are afraid to start legal action. Would they qualify for legal aid and what would he have to do to try & get his money back or the remaining loan paid off?
