The neighbour came onto our property under false pretences without prior permission and when asked to leave, began filming me with her camera.

According to police, because there is no fence where the neighbour entered, and there was no sign, they are legally allowed to tresspass!

Also, according to police, anyone can film you (even on your premises) if your within view of a public place.

I find this flabbergasting! Can anyone clarify?

Police talk translated: Do not bother us we do not want to know about it or assist you.

Suggest sending your neighbour a written trespass notice that she is not to come onto your property at any time.

Police talk translated: (while partially true). Do not bother us we do not want to know about it or assist you, sort it out yourselves.

Though her behaviour can be grounds for stalking, harassment, or an AVO.
