I have talked to a couple of lawyers and each have given me different responses. I have a few property settlement questions needing answers:
1. Can my ex lay claim to money I inherited from my father's death?
2. I received payment for future medical costs from my employer when I was made redundant for hearing loss caused by work (future costs being hearing aids). Does this go into the asset pool?
3. She left me with a $30000 debt against a motor vehicle - does this go into the asset pool as a $30000 debt if I intend to keep the car or do I have to get the car evaluated for a sale price and the difference is the debt?
4. I got 3 appraisals for the house (all were ballpark the same), is the worth of the house the appraisal price or the price after all sellers fees a taken out?
