NSW Find Deleted Facebook Profile as Evidence for Harassment?

Hi, just a question. If i go to court and i need evidence of someone harassing me on facebook but they have deleted their profile, can you find out where they are and where it came from?

Hi Leanne,

That is a good question. My understanding is that not much can be deleted completely from the internet and that Facebook itself has some conditions allowing it to keep a database for purposes such as your own.

I would consult the lawyer or legal aid service that you are using to go to court to find out your options.

When I researched this it stated that you can request all your details and messages etc by sending a letter to facebook requesting disclosure to you in accordance with the Privacy Principles Act.
