NSW Family Law - Getting Parenting Orders Changed After Years?

Just frustrating for the mother as in this situation things aren't moving as fast as she'd like and obviously doesn't want to waste time attempting to meet this criteria if he's going to turn around and continue to say no, however her lawyer has so far advised it could go either way if she takes that path.

Although it is hoped that some arrangements may be able to be worked out between the parents.

If the issues that the father seeks to have addressed by the mother (his criteria) are the same issues that led to the Final Orders being made...

Should it ultimately transpire (?) that an application is made to the Court to vary the existing orders. Before any variation of the orders could even be contemplated, the Court too would need to be satisfied, like the father, that those same issues surrounding the making of the final orders, have now been adequately addressed.

In other words, either way, the mother would still need to show that she has taken steps to address these issues.

Thanks so much for all of your responses. She really does appreciate having further opinions, and hopefully they can work something out between themselves asap.

She's not tried mediation at this stage but this is possibly where her lawyer is pushing towards. After she has completed some of the stuff anyway.
