Hi
Quicks summary - divorce 2019. Court order in place for child custody with ex being primary caregiver and the kids aged 13 and 11 spending significant time with me. The order also says I have to provide my new address since I have now moved with my new wife. The house is my wife’s house and she doesn’t not want the address to be given to my ex for what ever reason.
My ex is now withholding g the children u til she gets the address.
What is my legal position on not providing the address?
Thanks

If the order requires you to provide your new address, you are technically required to comply as failing to do so is a contravention regardless of your new wife's concerns. That said, you can apply to vary that provision or have the address provided to the court rather than directly to your ex, particularly if there are safety concerns. Her withholding the children is also a contravention on her part and two people breaching orders simultaneously does not cancel out. Both issues need to be dealt with together. Get advice from a specialist in parenting order variations as soon as possible.
