QLD Ex from New Zealand - Filed Property Settlement Court Action in QLD?

Hello,
My Ex has lodged a property settlement court action in Queensland (Qld) via a Qld solicitor. Problem is that she lives overseas in NZ.

Is this legal under Australian family law? How can she use a Qld court when she is not domiciled in Qld?

Family law is federal law, not state, so which state she filed in is irrelevant. Was your former spouse living permanently in Australia until recently? Are you living permanently in Australia?

Yes until 6 months ago but she is still in NZ on a permanent basis.

No I lived overseas permanently now and not in NZ
