I have some queries regarding a DUI I received. I had a BAC of 0.061 and this was my first ever offence (I was coming out of the race track and everybody had to blow). I am a 32 years old Canadian (the limit is 0,08 in Canada I didn't know I was breaking the law) on a working holiday visa doing its farm work.

I want to know if I will lose the right to drive in QLD, which would cause me to lose my job. If yes, can I apply for a work licence? Should I mention to the judge that I plan to become an Australian citizen?

What drivers licence do you have?

Unfortunately, that means you're not eligible for a work licence. To be eligible, you must hold a Queensland licence.

My brother needs help too. He been charged due to DUI. Should we consult a traffic lawyer for this?
