In 2014, the ATO was threatening to crack down on people with over 250000 frequent flyer points. Did this ever go ahead?

I'm not expert in taxation law but I found this article regarding fringe benefits tax exposure that does arise when an employee accrues 250000 ff points. ATO highlights FBT dangers with customer loyalty programs (e.g., frequent flyer)
