If a mother has some involvement with her child with DHS (Human Services) Child Protection involvement, and if DHS child protection get awarded full custody of the child and they do the whole adoption process (custody of children), does the mother get to be part of the adoption process and be part of her child's life as it grows up? What happens if their is no involvement at all from the mother, can she still be part of the adoption process or be part of her child's life as it grows up?

If the court orders that it's in the child's best interests to be adopted out by DHS, then it's probably also going to say it's in the child's best interests to spend no time and have no communication with the mother until the child is 18.

Parenting isn't a grey area - there is no "occasional responsibility". If the mother tells a court she doesn't want responsibility for the child, but still wants to see the child sometimes, the court will throw her out because parenting "when it suits her" isn't going to cut it.
