Hello,

I believe the father of my kids is going to take me to court for access.

He lives in a different state to me how does court work when the parents are in different states. Will I be expected to travel to his state?

What can I do in the mean time to prepare myself. I won't be able to afford a lawyer. I will have to self represent. When it happens I will seek legal aid advise. I just want to be prepared and not feel like a deer in the head lights about to be run over.

Thank you

So you have gone through the mandatory pre filing mediation?

What can I do in the mean time to prepare myself.

Depends on what grounds you are opposing access.. Is it merely distance? How old is the child?
