Hi,

My ex-husband and his lawyer didn't respond to a request by the magistrate of the Magistrates court for further information or a change in the consent orders, but rather filed an initiating application in the federal circuit court.

I had a lawyer who said this was an abuse of process but I couldn't do anything about it. He was too expensive, so I signed the second set of consent orders and have had to let the solicitor go as I am much worse off already.

If I contact the Family court to let them know I no longer have legal representation and why, do I have to send the same copy to my husband's lawyer?

Thanks!

Your husband's lawyer needs to know who to serve documents to. You will need to complete the change to representation form and file it with the FCC, then serve the same on your ex's lawyer.
