Now I don't know who they are at the moment, I'm going on what my mother and sister have been sharing with me. I don't live with them at the moment.
Today, 2 women approached my 12-year-old sister whilst at school, telling her they are the police and need to meet with my mother.
Later today, after my mum & aunt picked her up from school and headed home, the same 2 women were parked outside waiting for us to arrive and they step out of the vehicle. They had chats with my mum & sister that same afternoon. English is a 2nd language for my mum so they had an interpreter on the phone.
Now as of 11pm, my sister is very upset and has been crying! They seem to have caused a great deal of stress because she's now realised they've lied to her about being the "police" yet coming to my mother as "child protection". I believe she feels a sense of betrayal/deceit to herself and our family by which I am not very happy about.
If it is true (which my sister has no reason to lie about), those 2 women should've told her they were Child Protection and if she didn't understand, should have elaborated/explained to her in a better way. My sister is already under anxiety and this really p's me off about how it was dealt!
Few questions:
What can I do about that? Who are they really and should I charge them, with what? What are our next steps moving forward from this night?
If we were thinking for her to take leave from school until she's no longer too stressed and she deems herself able again. Who can I go to for paperwork (if needed) and what do I report to the school?
Any further help I should know?
By the way I can't apply any tags.. what gives?
