Hi - I'm looking to either extend my house or put in another building in the front yard of my property.

Currently from what I understand I have a 6 m set back. This extension will go into that 6m set back by 1-3 meters depending on what I'm allowed to do.

People have told me I can put a Car port there with building approval. That is one option, but preferably I would like something enclosed. So either extend my house to make another room/office.single garage. Or, if there are rules around if being attached, put in some concrete and one of those tiny homes or weather proof shed. (not a small garden shed)

I would like to use the space for storage mostly.

I am ok with getting Council approval - I just would like to know how I should approach it.

What are my options?

Hopefully all the above makes sense :)
