So we bought a car, privately trough gumtree, on monday and got promised that there wasn’t any problems with it and that it was all ready to get us on the road.
The day after we took it on it’s first real travel and it did break down after one hour of driving.
The seller doesn’t know anything yet and we will meet them today. We are very afraid that they will try to disappear and leave us with all this problems..
We bought it for 5.100$ and the mechanics says it needs a whole new engine. Estimated price for this is 2-3000$.
What can we do to take legal action and get our money back? Alternativaley, require the seller to pay for the damages.
