QLD Beneficiary - Request for Brother to Pay Rent?

I am half the beneficiary of an estate. My brother and his wife are living in the said estate. He apparently paid for improvements in the house whilst my dad was alive. Now he wants to be reimbursed for the improvements he made. He is also getting the estate to pay for rates whilst he and his family are living there.

Can I also request he pay rent to the estate until the estate is finalised?

Hi,

It sounds reasonable that he pay rent to the estate whilst staying there. You mention that you are beneficiaries if neither of you are administering the estate you should be able to speak to the administrator / executor and put your view forward. This could be awkward conversation if your brother is the administrator. That said what you have said is fair and reasonable.
