I work in a Brisbane city business where my boss has installed 3 x CCTV cameras with audio. We know he using these cameras to listen in to conversations. My understanding is the audio recording is illegal (as is the video since he doesn’t have signs up). Am I right to assume this and what is the best course of action?

Options:
  1. Find another job
  2. Tell him and find another job
  3. Do nothing
  4. Send an anonymous paper letter saying he is breaking the law
  5. Convince another employee to tell the boss (and watch them lose their job
  6. Report it to your union
  7. Report it to the police
You have to work out what works for you.
