A former employer has accused me of damaging caravans after I was dismissed from his employ (I had already given 2 weeks notice one week before). He has a sophisticated camera set up that would show that I was never near those vehicles. What can I do under Criminal Law?

Let him try to prove it. If he can't prove it on the balance of probabilities he can't make a case against you.

Yes - let him take you to court if he needs to. He will need to prove his case and provide evidence that you damaged these caravans by showing the video.
