NSW 457 Visa English Exemption with American GED

Hello,

Does anyone know if an American GED is considered for the exemption to the English requirement for subclass 457 Visa (temporary work visa)?

A GED in the US is a set of tests that certifies that the test taker has American high school-level academic skills. The diploma reads High School DIploma and is issued by the School Board. I am not an American so I do not hold an American passport, and I can only prove 2 years of full-time study in English, but I have that diploma.

Basically, you need to have studied and been assessed in English for 5 years not 2. You can call the Department of Immigration to clarify if you wish. Our telephone numbers
