Hello, I am wondering if there is any time limit for the police to issue infringement notices as I have just received an infringement from 30 months ago. It was a red light camera infringement and it appears that I have driven through it when the wrong light changed.
Thank you.

Well if the information that I heard recently applies to Queensland as well, your fine may expire in 5 years.
That was my question in an earlier post, but no one has replied to confirm.

I would appeal on the grounds that you have no idea who was driving the car 30 months ago.

Ok thanks, it was a taxi, so I’m 99% certain that I was driving. I am having it dealt with in court, so I’ll probably lose. But at least it’ll answer the question.
