  • Live in a house with my uncle, grandparents, and sister
  • Uncle is addicted to drugs, has a history with the police, and constantly verbally abuses grandparents to lend money (screaming, yelling), and in some circumstances, slamming furniture and wrecking property
  • Has access to grandmother's account and takes money out without letting her know, leaving us struggling to pay bills and debt
  • Has physically abused me around 6 years back and had a previous AVO which was revoked, but now I am feeling unsafe at home again
  • Have school HSC exams coming up soon and the yelling and screaming is negatively affecting my motivation to study
  • I am scared one day that the abuse might escalate into something more serious, especially when high
  • I am not able to be at peace at home
This is an overview, I am not sure if it is worth applying for an ADVO due to the lengthiness, process, and leniency of the conditions sometimes. What do you think my best option is?
