I have been given a script by my GP for chronic sinus pain that contains Pseudoephedrine.
My query is what do I have to tell the QLD police if they decide to roadside drug test me, do I need to carry the medication with me to show them.
Where I live in QLD is the proving ground for young police recruits & over reacting particularly by the young males is all too common.
I am 49 years old, have an unblemished driving record & I am a Governement Employee ( All I had to do was verbally inform management at work of the medication & they were satisfied)

Road side saliva test are looking for THC, Methylamphetamine & MDMA, it isn't designed to detect pseudo-ephedrine (or any prescription drugs) AFAIK ..... I wouldn't be volunteering any information regarding your being prescribed it

Take a clear photo by your phone and keep it saved on your phone, if it comes up as an issue, then show them the picture, and then you can send a certified copy to them if they want. Don't carry it as it will be your original document and if something happens to it, it will be a hassle to obtain other copy.

Good luck.

I certainly won't be giving QPol anything other than my name & address,
Thanks heaps, will do but will take a pic on my work phone which I can legally deny access to anyone other than my employer, being an OZ wide organistion.

I think this is the wrong attitude, if you are stopped for random drug test and it shows, and you do as you mentioned, you are aggregating the issue and then will be dealt through legal aspect, but if you show them when asked, you will go on with your life. But in other cases where you are stopped and accused of something, you may take your approach. This is my point of view.
