Unsure is this is the right thread, I have changed a lot of the events in the story so apologies if it sounds vague. Just trying to be as safe as possible.

I was involved in a violent relationship and subsequently fled relationship after he attempted to murder me. Unfortunately (and stupidly) I never pressed charges and they were given 2 year DVO.

Imagine my surprise this morning after no-contact for x amount of years to receive a voicemail that they are “replying to a call from awhile back” (aka 3+ years ago) wishing me well and congratulating me on the birth of my daughter. If you’ve been in a DV relationship than you will understand that this has legitimately shaken me to my core - I have done my best to shield her from them on the internet but somehow they’ve found out.

I know legally they have not done anything wrong but the message was so out of the blue and it was strange for them to mention my child at all. Is there anything I can do legally?

The child doesn't belong to this guy?
I'd do nothing at this point. Dont respond... Do nothing... If it continues... Then think about contacting the police.

Not theirs.
Yeah that’s fair, mostly just anxious about the “what if’s”.
