My ex has launched a DVO against me today because I did a DVO against her when she assaulted me and kicked me out a few weeks ago. She has refused me any contact with my daughter and hangs up when I ring.

Am I still able to contact in regards to talking to or seeing my daughter?

There are no court orders in place.

Best not to. Have your lawyer contact her, or risk breaching the DVO. Once parenting orders are in place, it'll be more structured, but for now, it's best not to muddy the waters.

Yeah, from what I can read that seems right, but once orders are in place, federal overrides DVO in regards of contact so long as I do so in regards to my daughter. I'd say the response from my lawyer will probably be the same, guess I don't get to try and contact for a little while.

Ok talked with lawyer, you're right as there is no current parenting orders I cannot contact, until there are.
