Hi - I received a speeding ticket from the NT police whilst heading back to Alice Springs and trying to get there before dark. My fault entirely.
Just looking into paying it, but I notice that the notice is not filled in - the police officer has not signed his name, not printed his name, not provided his rank and number, and not provided the station name.
I'm in the UK, and I was on vacation. In the UK, an incorrectly completed document is a reason to dispute, but in this case, I cannot even identify the officer involved.
Is it a requirement for the NT police to provide this identification in order to validate the ticket?
I'm planning on paying it as I intend to come back to Australia at some point and don't want to risk any visa issues (very unlikely to revisit the NT; primarily WA), but just wanted to check before I part with cash.
Thanks for any guidance or advice.
